Moon over Miami has three layers. The first layer is a straight shot, no retouching, of the Miami skyline from the Key Biscayne bridge. Since this is looking due north, there can never be a moon there.
The second layer is the skyline, reversed, with ripple effects to simulate the reflections on a slightly windy day.
The third layer is the moon, shot from my backyard and using a 300 mm lens.
The picture has been featured in a number of places, the latest being the entire front and back cover of Opulence Magazine (Miami)
